M33, the Triangulum Galaxy
The third largest galaxy in the local group of galaxies, located approximately 3 million light years away in the Triangulum constellation. I originally shot this without a filter and none of the red star forming regions were popping out so I spent a few nights using the Optolong L-Extreme dual narrowband filter to isolate the hydrogen alpha gas that is very rich in star forming regions. I combined the two shots to create this final image.
