Noclilucent Clouds June 18, 2019
This photograph of noclicent clouds was taken on June 18, 2019 from the shore of Skaha Lake. Circumpolar Capella is the bright star above the bluish noctilucent clouds with 2nd mag. Menkalinan.
Coincidentally, the clouds were noted on the return trip in the rear view mirror by Alan Whitman and Dave Whalley after a RASC meeting in Kelowna where Allen Royston included the topic in his presentation.
Dave Whalley used a Pentax K3 f4.5 with a 1 second exposure at ISO 1600 to capture the scene.
