Messier 20
This rendering of Messier 20, the Trifid Nebula in Sagittarius, was done on July 9, 2011 at the Okanagan Observatory. The sketch was made with a 13mm Ethos eyepiece yielding 146x with a 15" Dobsonian reflector using an Oxygen III filter. Despite the date, the temperature was only 1°C.!
