Terminator Alphabet Soup
Spring's high-altitude First Quarter moon benefited from steady air on April 3, 2017, allowing me to snap several detailed photos simply by holding my cell phone to the eyepiece of an 80 mm Sky-Watcher APO refractor. The so-called "Lunar X" happened to be in view (not far from the bottom in this cropped detail). Colleen O'Hare later pointed out to me that a "Lunar V" was also visible this night. Sure enough, the picture shows it as well (upper right). Not enough? You can also see plenty of "Lunar O's".
