The Flying Bat and the Squid
This object is located in Cepheus approximately 2300 light years away. The Flying Bat (SH2-129) is the red part made up of mainly hydrogen and the blue Squid (Ou4) is an extremely faint object made up of oxygen. It's so faint that it was only discovered in 2011 by a French astrophotographer. This image has over 19 hours of exposure time that was necessary to reveal the faint blue squid.
