This is a picture of Andrew Bennett's well designed roll off roof Sunnyokanagan Observatory in Westbank. Construction features include aluminum roofing to shed snow, and a sturdy support and rail system for rolling off the roof for observing. The concrete pier for the 16" Meade 16" RCX400 telescope was poured into a 24" diameter Sonotube form in 2009. Andrew drilled holes for anchor bolts and attached the aluminum wedge. A four person team that included Andrew and RASC members Zoli Boda, David Player and Guy Mackie lifted the heavy mount and telescope tube into place on the wedge.
