M16 The Eagle Nebula
Very happy with this one! This is a cropped image of M16 from 10 hours of SHO narrowband imaging (30 min per image) with the 16” RCOS telescope and the 16803 SBIG CCD Camera of the RASC Robotic Telescope in Auberry CA. Note that part of this is the famous “Pillars of Creation” Hubble image on its side. There’s actually 25 hours of this imaging available to process to go even deeper. This data and lots more target’s data will be released free to RASC members in Sept 2019.
