IC 1396, The Elephant Nebula
This stunning star forming region is found in the constellation Cepheus approximately 2400 light years away. I took this from my backyard in Glenrosa over 4 nights in July 2021. I used a ZWO ASI2600MC Pro camera through an Astro-Tech AT72EDii Apo refractor at f4.8 on an Orion Sirius EQ-G mount. This is made up of 8 hours 30 minutes of 300 second exposures, stacked and processed in Pixinsight.
