NGC 6946 the Fireworks Galaxy and NGC 6939

NGC 6946 the Fireworks Galaxy and NGC 6939

The Fireworks Galaxy is an edge on spiral galaxy approximately 22 million light years away, it lies within a sea of stars because it is located close to the galactic plane of our own spiral galaxy. NGC 6939 is an open cluster approximately 4000 light years away that is believed to be over one billion years old. This was taken from my backyard in Glenrosa over 4 nights in July 2022.
