I was testing out a new to me Lunt solar scope visually with a tracker when these trees appeared as the sun sank behind the hillside. It looked so cool that I had to try to capture it. The next day I set tried two cameras I have, the first being my deep space camera but the video frame rate was too slow so I went with a planetary camera. I placed the sun into the frame but couldn't tell which orientation I had the camera and when the trees came into view, they were moving so fast that I didn't want to mess with anything and change the focus and possibly missing the shot.
