Our second Friend of the RASC Okanagan Award for the year 2021, has now been presented to youth member Ananda Thomlinson of Kelowna, seen here with the hardware: a framed image of the California Nebula by RASC-OC member Terry Adrian. Ananda was recognized for her initiative in conceptualizing and developing a to-scale solar system scavenger hunt in cooperation with the City of Kelowna and Tourism Kelowna. The project follows on Ananda's $500 Community Leadership Fund scholarship, awarded by the national RASC.
