Oct. 10/24 Aurora
I saw a bright satellite moving S-N that was heading for the Big Dipper and swung my camera around to capture it. It faded somewhat by that time, but auroral curtains in that area brightened to compensate. I've been trying to ID the satellite using Heavens-Above since getting home, with no luck. It was 0 mag or brighter when I first saw it, but only about mag.. 2 in the Dipper. The track is a good match for the new solar sail, but the time isn't even close. Nothing else in the Bright Satellite list is anywhere near a match track-wise. Hmm...
