A friend and I drove out of Kelowna's light dome in mid-evening to a turnout above Wilson's Landing to watch October 10/24's northern lights display. It started out rather modestly to the eye, but the camera revealed an extensive wash of red emission with purplish tinges. This is the view to the north.
