This is a picture of Regulus, Mars and diminutive Comet ISON during the closest grouping of the three objects on October 15, 2013. Ten 3 minute exposures were made with a Canon XSI DSLR at ISO 1600 through a Borg 101ED Astrograph at f4.2 and combined with ImagesPlus.
The picture run was made around 4am when the trio was still low in the eastern sky, and some light scatter from the hazy atmosphere is evident around the brighter objects.
