IC 1283 Sagittarius (#25)

IC 1283 Sagittarius (#25)

IC 1283 is located immediately south of M24 in Sagittarius. The emission nebula is flanked to its lower right by two reflection nebulae, NGC 6589 and 6590.
I came across this island of light surrounded by dark nebula on a wide field image and thought that it would make a good target by itself. The field was just above the southern horizon of Star Trails Observatory in Summerland on the hazy night of August 17, 2012.
A total of 13 five minute exposures at ISO 1600 taken with a modified Canon XSi DSLR were combined in ImagesPlus.
