As the Moon started to leave the Sun's disk, the third contact Diamond Ring appeared. At this early stage some of the prominences were still visible. With the roll of the ship the target in this and the following picture drifted to the left side of the frame so additional dark sky was added in PhotoShop to allow the images to be centered. Exposure was 1/1,250 sec.
