Before the 25" could go into service in 2010 it needed secure storage at the observatory. Hugh Pett's Public Utility Palace (PUP) saw a 20' steel container subdivided into two compartments; a heated one for Hugh's electrical infrastructure and security camera system, and the second as a garage for the 25". Job one was building an angle iron railway line, and the second was constructing a 2" thick Baltic birch railway platform to carry the 500 lb scope out to its viewing position.
The railway engineers are Dave Gamble and Guy Mackie.
