Comet NEOWise
July 10, 2020
Having been following the comet for several days now by viewing with Alan Whitman along Hwy3A at a gateway to a ranch in the hairpin bend 4km from the junction with Hwy 97. So this morning arrived in lots of time, so messing about with the camera to get the exposure about right, I took a pic just hand held in the vicinity of where the comet would be and was amazed to see that I had imaged the comet which had already risen into a clear patch of sky at 2.27am, so hurriedly put the tripod up and mounted the camera which by the way I had set to it's maximum resolution of 24mp and captured quite a few images in the clear patch of sky including the attached image taken at 2.42am.
