Aurora from Powell Beach, Summerland
May 8, 2014 2:30 am. The most spectacular period of this light show lasted only 45 mins. but it reached up to the Big Dipper which was straight above Polaris. There were also waves of brightness which rippled through the spikes and sheets of Aurora in quick succession. These Aurora were not predicted so I feel very lucky to have witnessed them.
