When Comet PanSTARRS arrived in the spring of 2013, this picture was taken on March 18 from my back yard in Crawford Estates in southeast Kelowna. A Canon 5d Mark II camera was used with a 400 mm lens and a 1.4x teleconverter. The exposure was 2.5 seconds at f4 and 6400 ISO. The camera was mounted on a static tripod. The mirror was locked up, but the images were not stacked.
