The mount and pier are seen inside the finished shelter. Side handles at the balance point make it easy to lift and move out of the way for use. The cabinet is secured to the floor with two hook latches. To prevent wasps from adopting it as their new home, the open space isolating the floor from the pier was covered by plastic screening stapled around the opening.
A modest pitch was built in to the roof to shed rain and snow.
