Picture of the Sun taken 2PM September 4, 2011 at the Okanagan Observatory family picnic. At about 1/13 to 1/20 a second exposure on a digital rebel in the H-alpha 90 mm Solar Max. This Solar telescope has double the filters for twice the contrast. You can see three sun spots, where they were in the other solar telescopes near the middle, a long filement in the lower left and prominences on the sides.
