It was a bit presumptuous assembling an untried telescope on the same day as first light night. But work it did, showing great detail on Jupiter (obviously low in the sky), and later showpieces like M13. There were glitches however, the main one being very stiff movement in azimuth. This was partly remedied in 2010, and a further fix installing ball bearing units to replace two teflon pads on the equatorial platform will be performed before use resumes in May 2011.
